I want to maintain the quality of the core education experience in our district and ensure we continue to attract and retain amazing teachers who will help our children lead authentic and fulfilling lives. I want our children to think critically and to love learning. I want to preserve a district culture that welcomes curiosity and values the expertise of our faculty. I want a Board of Education that conducts genuine and thorough evaluation of our district’s performance towards specific goals related to our strategic objectives. I want this assessment done transparently, so we all know where we excel and where we should improve, and so our community can trust that our district’s processes are fair and neutral.

I would use the management skills developed as a Chief in the FDNY to make all stakeholders feel heard, to evaluate the merit of all proposals before enacting policy or providing direction to our superintendent, and to conduct ongoing assessment of the efficacy of those decisions.
